Ugly Actions, Beautiful Words

Gallivanting around The Facebook, each and every one of us is bound to have seen a photo of a happy couple engaging in a loving embrace, a happy smile, a loving lock. I have this one particular image in mind – I don’t remember if I saw it on Facebook or on the web somewhere else. Or maybe it’s stuck in my own imagination. What you have are two oversized individuals locked in embrace, the male having a brown goatee. It was on a farm or some sprawling grassy field, giving beautiful pastoral vibes that only heightened the vibes within.

Of course you’ll hear the coos and the praise and the social media embrace. 300,000 likes, 500,000 shares, etc. We see that, we know it, we’ve all taken part in it (actually, I don’t think I ever have).

Yet at the end of the day, all that remains is the coo that is more along the lines of how strangers treat and respond to an adorable infant.

The romance and the love is admired, but they’d never want to be part of it, nor a thousand miles near it.

Look around at any given person who looks outside the norm, and you can bet that – ceteris parabis – he or she is paired with a visual equal.

Love you enough to admire your happiness and feel the joyous rush at your happy fortunes, but not enough to be close like that.

We don’t owe each other anything on this planet. Or do we? What can it say about philosophies that preach owing to each other when the most heir apparent is predicated on strong self-centered action?
